42421096233420nn@tourmentine.comwiki-commentsComments system has been a bit improved, you can get now a preview of your comment.

To avoid problems, fuckin' HTML tags aren't allowed anymore; as a workaround you can use my new a-la-wiki minimal syntax, there's a help window to help you.

Display still needs some enhancements, but that should be ok by the time you'll be reading this (that's funny, I still suppose that there really are visitors on this site)
43431097886602nn@tourmentine.comTrade unions sucksSome news in the site\'s feed news (syndication), with plain gold RSS and Atom files:

RSS format jump from 0.91 version to 2.0 (what a joy)

HTML display (with links and more) on supported browsers (tested: Mozilla and friends, MSIE 5.x and 6.x), plus choosable style sheets (under Moz&co) for maximum entertainment.

Have a look here for RSS feed, and here for the Atom feed.

Produced feeds from other servers (Yahoo\! France for example) don\'t have these enhancements(yet); they are still in text and RSS 0.91 format.

Now I have to fill all this stuff with interesting things, and that\'s not the easiest part...
44441098312730nn@tourmentine.comI\'ve got to get organizedSome changes in the website`'s adresses:

- The cat\'s page and Dazibaweb don\'t use subdomains anymore (I put a redirection to avoid links problems)
- site\'s statistics (mrtg, webalizer) and other similar software (phpsysinfo) have been brought together under a new subdomain.
- In the Dazibaweb part, the news per page number is now saved in a cookie
- Dazibaweb\'s backends are now produced in RSS 2.0 and Atom 0.3 formats (for websites that do not provide already a backend). TXT isn\'t produced anymore.

If you find the title\'s reference, you\'ll won all my gratitude.
45451098740122nn@tourmentine.comThe boboxI got and plugged my freebox today. Installation is painless, just plug and everything works

Not like this capricious Sagem 908, wich refused to be plugged in ethernet since the unbundling, don\'t know why...

Now I can enjoy high-speed surfing (oh shit, I\'ve got it already), free phone (I don\'t use it anyway), and TV over IP...mm in fact no, since the local NRA doesn\'t support it.

Well, eventually that\'s no big change. Barman, a champomy!
46461100381902nn@tourmentine.comMan\'s best friendA new entry in Dazibaweb to celebrate Google and FireFox\'s wedding: the Google News (only in French for now). This is hightly-syntetized information since all news are taken from from differents parts of the web.

While talking about Google, here's a list of the differents entries you can find, just for fun:

http://www.google.com/microsoft
http://www.google.com/bsd
http://www.google.com/linux
http://www.google.com/mac
http://www.google.com/ie
http://www.google.com/palm
http://www.google.fr/unclesam
http://www.google.com/lochp
http://www.google.com/catalogs

You too can play with Google; here are one site or two to help you. There\'s also an online help, but this is too easy.

And no, I\'m not affiliated with Google.
47481109084961nn@tourmentine.comA new lookThe default appearence of this site is now lighter; in fact it's barely the same theme, but without images. For nostalgics, don't worry, the original theme is still available in the menu's «Skin» box. I hope you will like it, don't hesitate to give your opinion about it!
48491110843670nn@tourmentine.comHappy Birthday!Three years have passed since the opening of this site. At that time, it looked like that. No big change, in fact. Here is a summary of the small events that happened during the tourmentine's short life: - Some losses with the crashes and wild re-install: loss of the comments' system (albeit for a better one next), and loss of the visitors' count (thanks to MySQL) - the server was orinaly on my personal PC, it is now on a standalone and very quiet server (thanks to Did' for the laptop suggestion) - the website's code gained a wiki syntax for forums along with a beautiful caching system. Meanwhile it lost a board (it may be back someday, just like this one), a survey (toooo useful, really), the display of Ayo's penguins and by the way the 3 collumns display (who said that I was copying on DLFP??) - last but not least, this site speaks two languages (what a joy). By the way, if you wanna laugh, you can also try this attempt of spanish version (wich will certainly never be finished) Well, with all this stuff I can go to bed with great pleasure, proud to have all this work done. This is so good to love oneself, sometimes.
49501121809920nn@tourmentine.com!#!?@# hard drive !!!So it really happened, tough, cruel, impredictable: tourmentine's hard drive is fucked up once again. The website is currently running on the original hard drive, waiting for a new one, and fixes should take some time. Well, next big thing will be to set up a real backup system.
50521124033404nn@tourmentine.comSurfing revue #1Some interesting news from the web, to make this sad summer more pleasant: Unix in your toaster! One (well, me at least) used to say of something that it can make the toasts when it's a total gadget. Well, this joke is now a thing from the past since Technologic Systems has created a kitchen toaster with an embedded TS-7200 card operated by NetBSD. The thing can be crontroled via an USB keyboard, or even from ssh. Last but not least, Apache+PHP are also provided. Toasting can be controled by the famous BSD's sysctl. That rocks. About webpages' sex According to a brit university college\'s study (reported by branchez-vous! [fr] ), web visitors are more appealed to webpages designed by persons of their own sex. So if you\'re a person of a different sex of mine (that is, a girl), I invite you to create a CSS for this site, maybe it will attract female visitors. Thank you. Deep throat An hilarious story from Destination santé [fr] on the Goldenrod, wich is used to treat hemorrhoids and inflammation of the mouth and throat. Nothing funny then for you English-speaking people. But in French, this plant is called «verge d\'or», litteraly...golden penis. And no, I don't have a perverted mind, it\'s only to attract more visitors with some horny keywords.
51531124805984nn@tourmentine.comBack to lifeLet\'s make it short: I\'ve received and set up the new hard drive on Thursday, and by the way I've got my beloved BSD back. Oh joy. As usual everything is getting slowly fixed, blah blah blah. Now what I need is to get some sleep.
52541126110982nn@tourmentine.comGo Go Go !I just got a job. Yes. Indeed. At long last after this long period of dole, even if by the way I could enjoy the summer very much |:-) So next monday I will be near Paris, far from the tourmentine, praying for everything to work well...the tourmentine should follow me within the next few weeks/months if all is going right; at this time, probably, the server won't be accessible for some times, but this is just a minor problem. So until next time, ride the big one.
53551130621563nn@tourmentine.comA job can hide another oneAfter going back to active life for just a month, I quit my job to go to work in PARIS. It has to be anyway. So, I now work there, and with my working hours I certainly won\'t have much time for the tourmentine...
54561153336833nn@tourmentine.comBack to life (2)After two long months without a network connection (thanks to Free [fr]), Tourmentine is eventualy back online, with updated software (FreeBSD 6, Apache 2.2, PHP 5.5, MySQL 5...). There are some improvements in the statistics part of the site too: MRTG is no longer used, being replaced by Munin, and phpSysInfo has also been updated. I think I will rewrite the Dazibaweb part of the site, when I\'ll have time... But now, what I need most is fighting the growing entropy in my appartment :-) Back to the real world, man!
55571161553689nn@tourmentine.comCooking for geeksHere is a little recipe from me: PIZZA PIE QUATRES TOMATOS - patapizza (that of Françine, L \'friendly of the feignants) - 80ml of tomato purée - 4-10 tomatos cherries - 4-10 olives noires - spiced ketchup - sauce BBQ - 1 chopped steak - emmental rappé 1) to spread out the paste over paper cooking with the spoon which was useful to you with touiller paste, if you do it with the fingers C \' is super-shitting to clean (council of friend hein) 2) to put the equivalent of a spoon at sauce BBQ soup on the paste 3) to cover with the purée, with good to distribute on all surface 4) to powder with basil (the basil, that goes always well with tomato) 5) émietter the steak 6) to cut the tomatos cherries into two and to lay out them 7) to have in quinquonce olives (because C \'is prettier) 8) to sprinkle (slightly) ketchup 9) to sprinkle (largely) D \'emmental. for this stage one makes as in mom: a pinch for the pizza pie, a pinch for me; one pinch for the pizza pie... 10) to put at the furnace 15-20mn 11) to taste NOTA: Yes, I admit, this is a crapy google-translation. So what? Are You a geek or what? So order yourself a pizza!

58601170591707nn@tourmentine.comFreeBSD, Beryl \& other good news
The tourmentine has been upgraded to FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE for more thant one week now, everything goes fine. BTW, thanks to <a href=\'http://www.daemonology.net/blog/\'>Colin Percival for his good <a href=\'http://www.daemonology.net/blog/2006-09-01-freebsd-update.html\'>scripts-that-made-your-life-easier, that helped me a lot to upgrade in really not-so-good conditions (cranky network card, this sort of things).

I Just upgraded <a href=\'http://www.beryl-project.org\'>Beryl on big, my personnal workstation; v0.1.9999.1, freshly picked up from SVN is much smooth and faster than stable version (1.4)... This is awsome, even on my <a href=\'http://carte-video.tienligne.com/carte-video-agp-32942-V9400-X-TD-128-BULK.htm\'>crapy nVidia card. There is at last the same smoothness and speed as on my laptop, an Acer using Intel chipset. Joy.

7 fags before the last one...I\'m still not so sure of this...but I\'ll try anyway.

59611170778649nn@tourmentine.comThe 3rd eyeHere is my new toy:

D+2 without tobacco and I\'m fine.
