Featuring a 2.8" touchscreen display and based on Windows Mobile 6 Professional, the X650 seems to be identical to the X600, aside from the addition of an FM tuner for listening to FM radio (and maybe even using it for GPS traffic updates?).

[Permalink]
(c) 2007 by the::unwired - All Rights Reserved

E-TenGlofiishX650Windows_Mobile_6_Professional 02 - Pocket PC News Fri, 30 Nov 2007 18:38:31 +0100 info@theunwired.net (Arne Hess) http://www.theunwired.net/?item=revealed-fcc-unveils-e-ten-glofiish-x650-windows-mobile-6-pro-smartphone UPGRADE: T-Mobile UK and Germany releases Windows Mobile 6 Upgrades http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/theunwired/~3/193045807/ Following earlier HTC Windows Mobile upgrades, T-Mobile just released a couple of Windows Mobile 6 upgrades for their line of Windows Mobile smartphones. With Office Mobile 6.1 you can open the new Office 2007 XML-based Word, Excel and PowerPoint files on your Windows Mobile device. These new file formats reduce file size, improve security and reliability as well as enhances integration with external sources.

[1 Comment] [Permalink]
(c) 2007 by the::unwired - All Rights Reserved

MicrosoftOffice_Mobile_6.1Windows_Mobile_6 01 - General News Fri, 30 Nov 2007 07:54:27 +0100 info@theunwired.net (Arne Hess) http://www.theunwired.net/?item=download-microsoft-releases-commercial-office-mobile-6-1-for-windows-mobile-6 AVAILABLE: Microsoft releases Office Mobile 6.1 Update http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/theunwired/~3/192384448/ Accidentally released earlier but removed after, today - during Möbius 2007 - Microsoft announced the official availability of Office Mobile 6.1. With Microsoft Office 2007, Microsoft introduced the new Open XML-based file formats for Office applications. These new file formats reduce file size, improve security and reliability, and enhance integration with external sources. To allow Windows Mobile users to work with Office documents created in the Open XML formats, Microsoft has developed an upgrade for Word Mobile, Excel Mobile, and PowerPoint Mobile applications.

[Permalink]
(c) 2007 by the::unwired - All Rights Reserved

Möbius_2007MicrosoftOffice_Mobile_6.1Office_2007Windows_Mobile_6 01 - General News Thu, 29 Nov 2007 14:31:28 +0100 info@theunwired.net (Arne Hess) http://www.theunwired.net/?item=available-microsoft-releases-office-mobile-6-1-update OUTLOOK: Microsoft previewed next Windows Mobile version during Möbius 2007 [UPDATE] http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/theunwired/~3/192482989/ There were a couple of rumors floating around about an upcoming Windows Mobile version which follows current Windows Mobile 6 and during today's Möbius conference, Microsoft gave us a sneak peak of it. While it was shown in its full flavor (as available today, I'm sure we will see some further changes until it becomes available), Microsoft asked not to talk about details or features yet. What I'm allowed to say anyway is, that the next Windows Mobile version is an update rather than an upgrade. So don't expect anything groundbreaking new but useful enhancements and changes.

[4 Comments] [Permalink]
(c) 2007 by the::unwired - All Rights Reserved

Möbius_2007MicrosoftWindows_Mobile 01 - General News Thu, 29 Nov 2007 12:58:49 +0100 info@theunwired.net (Arne Hess) http://www.theunwired.net/?item=outlook-microsoft-previewed-next-windows-mobile-version-during-mobius-2007-update POSITIONING: Google releases Google Maps Mobile 2.0 with GPS-less positioning http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/theunwired/~3/192238141/ I have video viewed it in my recent feature video of the LG KS20, which doesn't has GPS and as it turns out, it's not a Vodafone only feature anymore but now available for all. Google just released Google Maps Mobile 2.0 with My Location (beta) where you can get your location on the map, with or without GPS. Save time and tedious keystrokes finding where you are, what's around you, and how to get there. Press "0" and look for the blue dot on the map. If you have a GPS-enabled device, this blue dot corresponds to your GPS location. At times, or if you do not have a GPS-enabled phone, you might see the blue dot surrounded by a light blue circle to indicate uncertainty about your location.

[3 Comments] [Permalink]
(c) 2007 by the::unwired - All Rights Reserved

GoogleGoogle_Maps_MobileGPSPositioningSoftware 01 - General News Thu, 29 Nov 2007 07:29:06 +0100 info@theunwired.net (Arne Hess) http://www.theunwired.net/?item=positioning-google-releases-google-maps-mobile-2-0-with-gps-less-positioning VIDEOVIEW: Vodafone LG KS20 - Features II http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/theunwired/~3/191307722/ In this video view I want to follow the previous video view, showing you some more high- and lowlights of the Vodafone LG KS20. First of all the Google Maps implementation which LG has implemented to work perfectly with Vodafone Germany's cellular network. Even if the LG KS20 doesn't features a GPS receiver you can use the inbuilt Google Maps application to localize yourself through the Vodafone 2G and 3G network. That's pretty handy (even if I'm sure it's not working in international roaming on other Vodafone networks) as well as the vanilla KS20 will definitely not support this feature.

[5 Comments] [Permalink]
(c) 2007 by <a href="http://www.theunwired.net
