The EU's mobile data market (which excludes SMS text messages) grew by 40 % to 7 billion Euro in 2007 as operators invested more than 20 billion Euro in enhancing their mobile networks and services, according to research by Wireless Intelligence and consultancy AT Kearney. In the year to April 2008, the number of 3G users in the EU doubled to 112 million. Europe has adopted 3G faster than any other region of the world (The proportion of people in the EEA/EU27 using 3G is 22.5 % compared with 18.4 % in the U.S. and Canada and 3.7 % in Asia-Pacific, according to Wireless Intelligence).

[Permalink]
(c) 2008 by the::unwired - All Rights Reserved

RESEARCHGSMAInternational_RoamingMobile_Data 01 - General News Wed, 11 Jun 2008 13:10:56 +0200 info@theunwired.net (Arne Hess) http://www.theunwired.net/?item=research-eu-mobile-data-market-growing-rapidly-driven-by-spread-of-mobile-broadband COMMUNICATION: VITO Technology updates SMS-Chat for Windows Mobile http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/theunwired/~3/309529873/ If you don't have a Windows Mobile 6.1 smartphone, you most likely don't have threaded SMS except if you have one of the Palm Treo Windows Mobile smartphones. However, for Windows Mobile 5.0 Professional and Windows Mobile 6 Professional users, VITO Technology has just released a new version of SMS-Chat which lets you organize your SMS correspondence into threaded SMS conversations; and the new version now has smilies. Furthermore, phone numbers, hyperlinks or E-Mails addresses that you receive in SMS are now more usable as you can simply click it and the necessary application with the data will be called out then. SMS-Chat users who liked the bright skin will now have an opportunity to choose the skin they've got used to.

[Permalink]
(c) 2008 by the::unwired - All Rights Reserved

VITO_TechnologySMS-ChatThreaded_SMSWindows_Mobile_5.0_ProfessionalWindows_Mobile_6_Professional 02 - Pocket PC News Wed, 11 Jun 2008 12:23:00 +0200 info@theunwired.net (Arne Hess) http://www.theunwired.net/?item=communication-vito-technology-updates-sms-chat-for-windows-mobile SPECIFICATIONS: E-Ten confirms specs of the upcoming Glofiish DX900 http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/theunwired/~3/309021767/ Last week, E-Ten officially unveiled its Glofiish DX900 Windows Mobile Professional smartphone and so far, the full specs weren't confirmed.
