During the second half of the six month trial, passengers will also be able to make and receive phone calls, with the service being regulated to maintain passengers' comfort and well-being.

[Permalink]
(c) 2007 by the::unwired - All Rights Reserved

OnAirAir_FranceConnexion_by_Boeing2.5GSMSMMS 01 - General News Thu, 20 Dec 2007 19:19:32 +0100 info@theunwired.net (Arne Hess) http://www.theunwired.net/?item=first-air-france-and-onair-launch-2-5g-in-flight-mobile-phone-service CONVERGENCE: Ateksoft releases WebCamera Plus 2.0 for Windows Mobile http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/theunwired/~3/202948280/ Ateksoft has announced the availability of a major update (Version 2.0) of WebCamera Plus, a handy application which turns your Windows Mobile Pocket PC or Smartphone into a webcam for your Notebook which now also allows to use the mobile device microphone. However unlike the FCC, which approved the Neon 100, the Bluetooth SIG got the Neon 200 for testing - which is a clear indication that at least 2 different designs exists. As always, the Bluetooth SIG isn't unveiling too much about the device features except that it is supporting Bluetooth 2.0+EDR but if you have a closer look on the FCC label, you might notice that the device seems to feature a front facing camera, right from the speaker as the HTC Touch Dual does too.

[2 Comments] [Permalink]
(c) 2007 by the::unwired - All Rights Reserved

HTCHTC_Neon_100HTC_Neon_200Windows_Mobile_6_Professional 02 - Pocket PC News Wed, 19 Dec 2007 17:31:55 +0100 info@theunwired.net (Arne Hess) http://www.theunwired.net/?item=approval-bluetooth-sig-approves-the-htc-neon-200-an-indication-for-a-umts-touch CANCELED: Vodafone (Germany) has no further plans to release the Vodafone 920 http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/theunwired/~3/202669166/ Not that we ever met the Vodafone 920, Vodafone's self-branded Windows Mobile 6 Standard smartphone, developed and manufactured by HTC, which was announced back in September as a Christmas device. And if you wonder now where the Vodafone 920 is - so close to Christmas - the answer is easy: Vodafone canceled it (for now). Vodafone Germany confirmed this today in an E-Mail to us. That's too bad since I had the hope (and according to the only photo we've ever seen there were real chances) that the Vodafone 920 might be a kind of UMTS version of the T-Mobile Shadow.

[2 Comments] [Permalink]
(c) 2007 by the::unwired - All Rights Reserved

VodafoneVodafone_920Windows_Mobile_6_Standard 03 - Smartphone News Wed, 19 Dec 2007 11:47:28 +0100 info@theunwired.net (Arne Hess) http://www.theunwired.net/?item=canceled-vodafone-germany-has-no-further-plans-to-release-the-vodafone-920 LEAKED: First Google Android Smartphone shows its face http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/theunwired/~3/202212978/ Not a Windows Mobile device, the Android prototype photo Gizmodo just received looks quite similar to a Windows Mobile device (mostly like the HTC S620) which is no wonder since HTC is part of Google's recently announced Open Handset Alliance. According to Gizmodo's anonymous tipster, the OS (and device) - in its early form - is light and fast, much faster than the desktop emulator at times. And as a longtime programmer, he thinks it's a lot more put together than Window Mobile on the back side of things.

[1 Comment] [Permalink]
(c) 2007 by the::unwired - All Rights Reserved

GoogleAndroidOpen_Handset_AllianceLeak 01 - General News Tue, 18 Dec 2007 15:29:57 +0100 info@theunwired.net (Arne Hess) http://www.theunwired.net/?item=leaked-first-google-android-smartphone-shows-its-face UTILITY: Ilium Software releases eWallet 6.0 for Windows Mobile and Windows PC http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/theunwired/~3/202148158/ Ilium Software yesterday announced the release of eWallet 6.0, the latest version of their award-winning password manager program. eWallet is available for Windows Mob
